Swedish Chokaladbollar (Oats Chocolate Balls) | Swedan Recipes | International Recipes



Oats is a healthy ingredient. Swedish oats chocolate balls adds the sweetness of chocolate to it and make it attractive for kids.



Recipe Cuisine : International / Sweden | Recipe Category: Sweets
Preparation Time: 10 mins  | Yields: 10 balls
Ingredients:
Oats
1 cup ( 240ml)
Sugar
¼ cup
Butter
1 tbsp
Coco Powder
1 tbsp
Warm Filter / Instant Coffee Syrup*
2 tbsp
Salt
¼ tsp
Vanilla essence
1 tsp
Coconut Powder or Desiccated Coconut (Recipe  HERE)
2 tbsp

* Use 2 tbsp of filter coffee or mix 1 tsp of instant coffee powder with 2 tbsp of warm water.

Procedure:
1. Grind the oats, sugar, salt and coco powder into a fine powder using the dry mixi jar.
2. In a wide bowl, add warm coffee syrup, vanilla essence and butter. Mix them well.
3. Add powders oats mix (from 1) and mix them well with your fingers. Then knead it into a soft dough like chapathi dough.
4. Make gooseberry size balls from the dough and keep it aside.
5. Now spread the coconut powder on the dry plate.
6. Roll the balls over the coconut powder.
    Yummy, healthy and kids friendly Oats chocolate coconut laddu is ready!

Note:
1. Suppose the dough is sticky, you can add little bit oats powder.
2. The dough is too thick, you can add little bit coffee syrup or warm water.
3. Suppose oats is not crispy, dry roast them for 2 mins and then powder it.

Oats Cookies / Biscuits (My 200th Recipe Post)




Ingredients:

All Purpose Flour / Maida
1 Cup
Oats
3 Cups
Butter
1 Cup
Baking Soda
½ tes
Salt
½ tes
Sugar
1 Cup
Dry Grapes
2 tbs
Tutti Frutti
1 tbs

Procedure:
     1.      Sieve APF, baking soda and salt together. Keep it aside.
     2.    Then mix the oats and flour well with your hand.
     3.    Cream the butter for 2-3 mins, then add the sugar and mix them well    until smooth.
     4.    Now add the flour and oats mixture, dry grapes and tutti  frutti, then mix them gently with your finger and make a soft dough.
     5.     Cover the dough and keep it aside for 10 mins.
     6.    Then make small balls and flatten them slightly, and arrange them on the greased baking tray.
    7.     Pre heat the oven to 200 degree C and bake the cookies for 12- 15 mins.
    8.    Take them out and transfer them into a wire rack or a plate and allow it to cool down for 10 mins.
    9.    Now healthy oats cookies are ready to eat. Store it in a air tight container.

Oats Corn Dosa

Ingredients:

Corn Kernels

2 cups

Oats

1 cup

Rice Flour

¼ cup

Green Chilly

2

Curry Leaves

2 spring

Onion

2

Coriander Leaves (Chopped)

Handful

Chann Dal

1 tbs

Turmeric Powder

½ tes

Asafoedita

½ tes

Salt

To Taste

Oil

2 tbs

Procedure:

1. Grind the oats for few seconds and keep it aside.

2. Grind the corn kernels for 3 mins without water.

3. Now mix the ground oats and corn with rice flour, turmeric powder and salt. Add water little by littte and make it a Dosa batter consistency.

4. Heat 1 tbs of oil in a pan, add channa dal, chopped green chillies, curry leaves and chopped onion. Fry till the onion become golden color.

5. Put this mixture, chopped coriander and asafoetida powder to the batter. Keep it aside for 10 mins.

6. Heat the tawa and pour one ladle full of batter into a thick circular shape.

7. Pour few drops of oil along the sides of the dosa. Turn over once it reaches golden color.

8. Remove the dosa, when it is golden on both sides.

Serve this dosa with Coriander Chutney. I am sending this to CWF-Oats hosted by Priya and started by Kiran.

Instant Oats Dosa


Ingredients:

Oats

2 cups

Rice Fllour

½ cup

Onion

1

Green Chilly

1

Curry Leaves

1 spring

Coriander Leaves (chopped0

1 tbs

Channa Dal

½ tbs

Asafoetida Powder

¼ tbs

Salt

To Taste

Procedure:

1. Grind the oats for few seconds.

2. Mix the ground oats powder with rice flour and salt.

3. Pour water and mix well, make it like Dosa batter consistency. Keep it aside for 10 to 15 mins.

4. Heat oil in a pan, add channa dal, chopped curry leaves, chopped green chillies and chopped onion .

5. Fry until the onion becomes golden color.

6. Put this mixture and asafetida powder into the batter and mix them well.

7. Heat the tawa and pour one ladle full of batter into a thick or thin circular shape.

8. Pour few drops of oil along the sides of the dosa. Turn over once it reaches golden colour.

9. Remove the dosa when it is golden on both sides.

Serve this Oats Dosa with any Ginger Chutney.

I have taken this recipe from Priya’s easy and tasty recipes, but have made a modification – I added rice flour instead of pearl millet flour. Thanks Priya.
