Ingredients:
Toor Dal | ½ cup |
Greens | 1 bunch |
Onion | 1 |
Tomato | 1 |
Green Chillies | 2 |
Turmeric Powder | ½ tes |
Asafoedita | ½ tes |
Salt | To Taste |
Oil | 1 tbs |
Mustard Seeds | ¼ tes |
Urad Dal | ½ tes |
Red Chilly | 1 |
Curry Leaves | 1 spring |
Procedure:
1. Wash the greens / Keerai and cut them into small pieces.
2. Chop the onion, green chillies and tomato into small pieces.
3. Pressure cook toor dal, chopped greens, onion, tomato, green chillies, turmeric powder, Asafoedita and salt with 1 cup of water for 3 whistles in medium flame.
4. Heal the oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and urad dal. Wait for popping.
5. Then add the curry leaves and red chilly. Saute for a minute.
6. Now mix this with cooked dal and green mixture.
7. Bring the mixture into boil and serve with rice or chapathi.
