Coriander Seeds / Dhania / Kothamalli Vithai Chutney





Ingredients:
Coriander Seeds
½ Cup
Red Chilly
3
Garlic
3 pods
Tamarind
Grape Size
Grated Coconut
½ cup
Oil
1 tbs
Salt
To Taste

Procedure:
1. Heat the oil in a pan. Fry the red chillies till it gives good aroma. Keep it aside.
2. In the same oil, fry the coriander seeds till its color changes.
3. Then add garlic pods and tamarind. Saute for  2 mins.
4. Finally add the grated coconut and switch off the stove.
5. Keep it aside for cool down.
6. Grind all the above ingredients together with little water. [ Don’t grind as fine paste]

    This goes well with plain rice.

Hey, that's new for me. I never heard of making chutney with just dhania seeds and coconut, always added dhaniya leaves. Thanks for introducing this.
