Ingredients:
Green Gram Dal | 1 cup |
Oil | 1 tbs |
Mustard Seeds | ¼ tes |
Curry Leaves | 1 spring |
Red Chilly | 3 |
Onion | 1 |
Carrot | 1 |
Salt | To Taste |
Coriander Leaves (Chopped) | 2 tbs |
Procedure:
1. Wash and pressure cook the dal with 1/3 of water and 2 drops of oil for 1 whistle in high flame. [Should not over cook]
2. Peel the skin of the carrot and grate it.
4. Chop the onion into small pieces.
5. Heat the oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and wait for popping.
6. Then add the curry leaves, red chillies (cut them into 2 pieces) and onion. Fry till the onion becomes golden color.
7. Now add the cooked dal with water [No need to drain the water from the dal] . Fry till the water evaporates from the dal.
8. Then add the grated carrot, chopped coriander leaves and salt. Fry for 3-4 mins and serve it hot.
This is a very healthy snack.
