Apple Halwa

Ingredients:

Apple

2 (pulp 1 cup)

Sugar

½ cup

Ghee

¼ cup

Cashewnuts

Food Color – Orange or Red

A Pinch

Procedure:

1. Wash the apples and remove its skin and seeds.

2. Cut them into small pieces.

3. Blend the pieces into fine paste.

4. The ratio of the Pulp : Sugar : Ghee should be 1 : ½ : ¼ .

5. Now heat 1 tbs ghee in a heavy bottomed pan or non stick pan, and then fry the cashewnuts and keet it aside.

6. In the same pan, add the remaining ghee and pulp as in Figure 1.

7. Fry it in a low flame till it becomes thick [That is water has evaporated completely] Figure 2.

8. Then add the sugar and the food color as in Figure 3.

9. Mix them well.

10. Stir continuously till it becomes soft, halwa like consistency as in Figure 4.

11. Garnish with fried cashewnuts.

Serve it for loved ones.

new , creative and pretty dish. I dnt think would stay for long since it is made of apple. But looking at pic , dnt think it would stay for long - so tempting.
