Ingredients:
Raw Banana | 1 |
Oil | 2 tbs |
Mustard Seeds | ½ tbs |
Urad Dal | ½ tbs |
Curry Leaves | 1 spring |
Ginger | 1 inch |
Garlic | 4 pods |
Aniseeds | 1 tbs |
Grated Coconut | 1 tbs |
Green Chilly | 1 |
Salt | To Taste |
Procedure:
1. Steam cook the plantain with its skin intact in medium flame for 10 mins.
2. Allow it cool down and then remove the skin of the raw banana.
3. Cut it into small cubes.
4. Coarsely grind ginger, garlic, green chilly, aniseeds and grated coconut.
5. Heat the oil in the pan, add mustard seeds wait for pops.
6. Then add urad dal and curry leaves.
7. Now add turmeric and salt, and sauté for a minute.
8. Add the ground mixture and sauté till its raw smell goes off.
9. Add the banana cubes and sprinkle water and sauté for 3 minutes.
10. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with Rasam Rice.
