Idly Powder / Idly Milagai Podi

Ingredients
Urad Dal
1 Cup
Channa Dal / Bengal Gram Dal
3/4 Cup
Sesame Seeds (Black or White)
2 tbs
Red Chillies
10 - 15
Curry Leaves
2 spring
Asafoetida
½ tbs
Pepper Corns
1 tbs
Salt
To Taste
Procedure:
1. In a pan, fry the sesame seeds till you can hear the continuous spluttering sound.
2. Fry urad dal and channa dal separately until they turn into golden color.
3. Fry Red chillies till it becomes crispy.
4. Fry asafoetida for few seconds.
5. Fry the pepper corns for a minute.
6. Fry the curry leaves till it becomes crispy.
7. Keep it aside for cooling down.
8. Blend coarsely or finely with salt. Again spread it on the plate for cooling down.
9. Store it in a clean and an airtight container.
10. Mix with Sesame oil or Coconut oil and then serve with Idly or Dosa.

I also make a similar version and I add cumin seeds along with other ingre..
I need some Idli/dosa now to relish this podi...
