Raw Banana / Valakkai Bajji

Ingredients:

Raw Banana

1

Gram flour

½ cup

Chilly Powder

1 tes

Cooking Soda

¼ tes

Food Colour (optional)

¼ tes

Water

3 cup

Oil

For fry

Salt

To Taste

Fermented Idly Batter

2 tbs

Procedure:

1. Mix all the ingredients except raw banana together well by adding little water, so that the mixture consistency becomes like idly batter consistency.

2. Peel the skin of the raw banana and cut them into thin lengthwise slices.

3. Dip each slices in the batter and deep fry with the oil. Keep the oil in medium flame only.

4. Drain the excess oil by placing it in a paper towel.

Serve it with coconut chutney.

Note : Addition of fermented idly batter makes the bajji more fluffy.

I got this tip from my mother. I will link this to Bookmarked Recipe by Priya and Aipi.
