Pazham Sweet Bajji

Pazham Sweet Bajji

Ripe Banana

2

All purpose flour / Maida

1 cup

Rice Flour

¼ cup

Sugar

½ cup

Cardamom

2

Baking Powder

½ tes

Turmeric Powder

½ tes

Oil

For Deep Fry

Procedure:

1. Peel the skin of the banan and cut them into thin lengthwise pieces.

2. Powder the sugar and cardamom.

3. Mix all the ingredients except banana and oil together well by adding little water, so that the mixture consistency becomes like idly batter consistency. Keep it aside for 10 mins.

4. Dip each slices in the batter and deep fry with the oil. Keep the oil in medium flame only.

5. Drain the excess oil by placing it in a paper towel.

My H used to tell me about a hotel in coimbatore which specialize in this Pazham Pori and was nagging me to prepare this for him.It was a pleasant surprise when I came across the recipe for this in Suja Sugathan’s Kitchencorner . Thanks Suja for sharing the recipe.

I will send this to the Veggie/Fruit a Month hosted by Aipi and started by Priya.
