Award and Spicy Puffed Rice

Ok now moving on to Spicy Puffed Rice.....


Puffed Rice

2 cups

Coconut Oil

4 tbs

Mustard Seeds

½ tbs


4 pods

Red Chilly


Curry Leaves

1 spring

Ground Nuts

¼ Cup

Roasted Gram Dal

¼ Cup

Turmeric Powder

¼ tbs


¼ tbs


1. Heat the coconut oil in a wide pan, add mustard and wait for popping.

2. Then add red chillies (split them into small pieces), chopped garlic, curry leaves, ground nuts and roasted grams. Fry till the roasted gram changes its color.

3. Add turmeric and asafetida and fry for a minute.

4. Finally add the puffed rice and mix them well for 2-3 mins. Then switch off the stove.

5. Keep it aside till it cools down.

6. After its gets cooled, store it in a air tight container.

This is an easy and healthy snack.
