Ingredients:
Carrot | ¼ Kg |
Vegetable oil | 2 tbs |
Sambar onion | 10 |
Mustard seeds | ½ tsp |
Black gram (split) | ¼ tsp |
Green chilly | 2 |
Curry leaves | 2 spring |
Salt | To taste |
Procedure:
1. Wash and scrap the skin from the carrot and grate it.
2. Heat then oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds, add curry leaves, chopped green chillies and chopped onion.
3. Fry until the onion turns golden brown.
4. Then add the grated carrot and salt. Then sprinkle handful of water.
5. Close the lid of the pan, stir it occasionally and cook till the carrot becomes soft ( 7-10mins).
Serve with Rasam rice.
