Dal / Paruppu Chutney


Ingredients:

Channdal

¼ cup

Red Chilly

4

Curry Leaves

1 spring

Garlic

4 pods

Grated Coconut

¼ cup

Oil

2 tbs

Salt

To Taste

Procedure:

1. Heat the oil in a pan, add red chillies and fry for a minute.

2. Add channa dal and fry till it turns to brown colour.

3. Then add curry leaves and garlic. Fry for 2 mins.

4. Finally, add the grated coconut and switch off the stove.

5. Wait till it cools down.

6. Grind the above with salt and add little water to make thick paste. (should not add more water)

This goes well with plain rice.
