Wheat Flour Sweet Paniyaram / Gothumai Mavu Inippu Paniyaram

Ingredients:

Wheat Flour

1 Cup

Rice Flour

¼ Cup

Jaggery (Grated)

½ Cup

Cardamom

2

Baking Soda

½ tbs

Salt

Pinch

Oil

10 tbs

Procedure:

1. Take wheat flour, rice flour, cardamom powder, baking soda and salt in a wide bowl. Mix them well.

2. Heat the jaggery in a pan with ¼ cup of water.

3. When the jaggery dissolves completely, switch off the stove.

4. Filter the syrup with steel filter. [Avoid nylon filter]

5. Pour this syrup into the flour mixture.

6. Mix them well and make the batter like Idly or Dosa batter. If necessary, add water.

7. Keep it aside for 10 mins.

8. Heat the kuzhi / kuli paniyaram pan, pour few drops of oil and pour this batter only upto ½ of the kuzhi [depression]. Cook it in medium flame.

9. After few mins, turn them to the other side and cook well until it becomes golden color on both sides.

Note :You can add banana and grated coconut to the batter for richness but you will not be able to use it for the next day.

Looks so flavourful.
I usually don't relish desserts but I like jaggery sweets. With similar mix we make chilas (pancakes)
