Coriander Chutney


Ingredients:

Bengal Gram Dal

1 tbs

Black Gram Dal /Urad Dal

1 tbs

Vegetable Oil

2 tbs

Red Chilly

Curry Leaves

1 spring

Coriander Leaves

1 bunch

Tomato

Sambar Onion

½ cup

Salt

To taste

Grated Coconut

¼ cup


Procedure:

1. Wash the coriander leaves and curry leaves.

2. Chop the onion, coriander leaves and tomatoes.

3. Heat the oil in a pan, add Bengal gram dal and urad dal. Saute till it turns to golden colour.

4. Then add curry leaves, red chillies and chopped onion. Fry till it becomes transparent.

5. Now add chopped tomatoes and fry till raw smell goes away or till becomes mushy.

6. Then add chopped coriander leaves and fry for a minute.

7. Allow it to cool down for 5 mins.

8. Then add coconut and salt to this mixture.

9. Combine all and grind to a smooth paste in a blender by adding very little water.

Serve with Idly and Dosas. Especially for Ragi Dosa, Wheat Dosa and Adai.
